Interviews (1981 Nov. 6, 1981 Nov. 12) with Ewing relating to homesteading in the 1890s, employment of her father, James B. Haley, by Texas Cattle Raisers Association when he took cattle north to grace, hiding in Kiowa camp during an Indian rampage (Cheyenne and Arapaho) killing women and children, attendance at several schools, discussion of Indian life including ceremonies, buffalo, dancers, and other topics, lobo wolves, outlaws and shootouts in the mountains, childhood chores and the selling of dairy products, making of cottage cheese, gold miners in the Wichitas, her grandfather's flour mill, and some Haley family history.
